That's all part of it I'm sure.  I think what really hurt them was that NBC News has almost no credibility anymore after the edited the Zimmerman tapes.  TVNewer's article, for example, lays the blame mostly on Matt being on vacation for the week.

Whoopeefkin' doo.  Matt is on vacation ALL THE TIME.  That article is very poorly written in that aspect.  No mention of the 'real' reasons why it happened...lol.

Not really a fit for her to be honest, but I hate to see this happen to Ann.  She's an absolute gem!

I remember laughing my ass off when I saw these.

In my opinion, Ann was never right for the host position (lets not foolishly call her or Matt an anchor). NBC news has become the laughing stock of broadcast/network news and that's saying something when your broadcast competitors are ABC and CBS. But she's not the only reason for their incompetence and disappointing ratings.

That was a great article.

It's the reason why movies suck and everything we watch sucks. Executives who know nothing about art/journalism/etc. are in positions of power and they don't give a fuck about anything besides money/ratings.

There would be no bad movies or TV shows if executives were not businessmen, but artists who know what the fuck a good movie/show is.

But that's life. Politicians who have never suffered or held a real job are the ones trying to fix the economy and help the people. lol :-0

That's pretty much right on.  These bigwigs are out of touch because all they see is the money.  The TMZ type segments they air nonstop on the Today show must be bringing in a ton of money, otherwise they wouldn't continue to do them.  Even though that crap is alienating their long term viewers and such, that's irrelevant as long as the money keeps flowing in.

Yeah I guess using a bullshit line like "weak on food segments" was the easy way out, instead of just saying " we chose Savannah because common sense tells us viewers would rather watch a younger attractive female"
And ill tell U what, if anyone does a half ass job on food segments, Jenna is flat out terrible. Zero personality to boot. If anyone needs to go on that show, Jenna is top of the list.
